The basic course on international contract management will provide information on contracting with the US federal government and the federal procurement system. The training will focus on the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR); uniform guidance for federal grants (Title 2 of the Code of Federal Regulations); types of contracts and agreements issued by the government; the basics of managing federal agreements; managing federal funds and reporting requirements. During this 8-week training period, we will also discuss how to establish subcontracting and vendor agreements with local small businesses interested in assisting you in fulfilling your mission.
Course Instructor: Cheryl Pierce

Cheryl Pierce offers over 40 years of experience and training responsible for business operations, program management, financial management and cradle-to-grave contract and grant management. Ms. Pierce has worked in acquisition management for the federal government and supported both small and large government contractors. Additionally, Cheryl has worked for nonprofit organizations, supporting grant and cooperative agreement programs funded by USAID and the US Department of State in Africa, India, Thailand, Morocco, the Middle East and South America.
